Providence Health & Services Educator Assistant in Spokane, Washington
Providence is calling an Educator Assistant (Education Services Department, Full Time, 1.0FTE, Day Shift) to Providence Health Care in Eastern Washington. We are a community of caregivers delivering every day on our Mission to provide compassionate care that is accessible for all – especially those who are poor and vulnerable.
In this position you will:
Assist the Education Specialist with student instruction for the purpose of presenting and/or reinforcing learning concepts and utilizing an individualized approach.
Support, orient, and train volunteers in their role serving children K-12 in the hospital environment.
Participate in creative programming and group activity leadership with the Hospital School Program team (i.e., after school clubs or activities).
Track students and appointments for the day. Maintain a master schedule to coordinate open classroom time and individual tutoring sessions.
Perform record keeping and clerical functions (e.g., copying, attendance, etc.) for the purpose of supporting the teacher and/or providing necessary records/ instructional materials.
Prepare written materials (e.g., student progress, test scores, log book/homework assignments, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities.
Required qualifications for this position include:
- Associate of Arts degree or higher, or have at least 72 quarter credits or 48 semester credits at the college level, or have passed the state-approved ParaPro assessment
