Providence Health & Services Point of Care Compliance Coordinator in Spokane Valley, Washington
Providence is calling a Point of Care Compliance Coordinator (Lab Spokane Valley, Day Shift, 1.0 FTE) to Providence Medical Group in Spokane, Washington. We are a community of caregivers delivering every day on our Mission to provide compassionate care that is accessible for all – especially those who are poor and vulnerable.
This position will work mostly weekdays with occasional
weekend or evening training. It will involve local travel to other sites around the greater Spokane area.
In this position you will:
Provide technical andadvisory expertise to POCT sites to meet testing needs.
Review quality controldata, patient results, and critical values for policy/procedure adherence.
Lead departments throughthe POC process from the original request to implementation and continuousmonitoring.
Establishes, revises andmonitors policies and procedures for the POCT program with the MedicalDirector.
Communicates and/oreducates testing personnel whenever corrective action need attention.
Assist with the inventorycontrol of all POCT materials/supplies.
Reviews and signs technicalprocedure and policy manuals annually.
Supports laboratory qualityassurance initiatives that are being monitored.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor’s Degree in Lab Science or Medical Technology
Valid Medical Technologist License
2 years experience in leadership and/or Point of Care testing experience
2 years experience as a Medical Technologist
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- 5 years experience as a Medical Technologist
