Providence Health & Services Prescription Refill Specialist in Spokane Valley, Washington

Description:

Providence is calling a Prescription Refill Specialist (Primary Care, Day Shift, 1.0 FTE) to Providence Medical Group in Spokane, Washington. We are a community of caregivers delivering every day on our Mission to provide compassionate care that is accessible for all – especially those who are poor and vulnerable.

In this position you will:

  • Receives and managesrequests for refills via fax machine or escribe.

  • Reviews charts forlatest lab results, appointments and refills.

  • Tees up themedication in EMR and sends to providers for signing.

  • Preauthorizesmedication for full utilization of patient insurance benefits.

  • Works with PatientAssistance programs.

  • Maintains samplemedication inventory.

  • Receives and managespatient’s phone calls.

  • Meets withpharmaceutical representatives to insure proper level of sample medication..

  • Informs clinicproviders of new medications.

  • Adheres toestablished company compliance, policies, procedures and protocols.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • High School Diploma/GED

  • Excellent customer service skills and computerskills

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Previousmedical office experience preferred.
