Providence Health & Services RN Triage Nurse-Home Health in Spokane Valley, Washington
Providence is calling a RN Triage Nurse (Day Shift, 0.6FTE, 24hrs/wk) to Providence VNA Home Health in the Greater Spokane County Area, Washington. We are a community of caregivers delivering every day on our Mission to provide compassionate care that is accessible for all – especially those who are poor and vulnerable.
In this position you will:
Perform triage activities such as receiving incoming phone calls from home health patient physician offices, patients and families, assessing patient needs, providing immediate problem-solving on the phone
Contact covering MD’s to obtain verbal orders and write orders needed for treatment, PT/INR labs, wound care, eliminate or add-on of services, and order extensions
Communicate PT/INR lab results to physicians and clinics
Provide follow-up communication to other Home Health staff regarding patient/family needs
Required qualifications for this position include:
Degree from accredited school of nursing
Current Washington State Registered Nurse License
Current Healthcare Provider CPR certification
2 years full time experience practicing as a registered nurse with 1 year of recent experience (within last 3 years) clinical experience in a Medicare certified Home care or Hospice agency/facility doing intermittent visits and case management
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- Bachelor’s degree
