Providence Health & Services CNA Program Instructor (RN) *1.0 FTE, Day Shift* in Spokane, Washington
Providence is calling an CNA Program Instructor (RN) (Clinical Education Services, Days, 1.0 FTE, 40 hours per week) to Providence Health Care Region in Spokane, Washington. In this position you will:
Serve as an instructor for the NAC program. Instructs frequently in classroom and lab setting
Works with Lead Instructor to develop and modify presentations and other methods of instruction.
Creative in means of ability to instruct students.
Work with Lead Instructor and Manager to schedule curriculum, topics, homework, labs and clinical time.
Track students' progress and reports out as needed.
Councils students on progress and works with Lead Instructor and Manager for counseling unacceptable actions.
Responsible for delivery of any online platforms and virtual learning platforms used in the program.
Maintain grade books, records, documents and other evidence required for program completion.
Instructs other courses as needed to assist the Health Training department.
Responsible for demonstrating awareness and sensitivity to information, ensuring privacy and confidentiality. Knows basic HIPAA and FERPA laws.
Able to work through complex and analytical concepts and simplify them. Ability to work with high school age students as well as adult learners.
Registered Nurse from an approved nursing program
1 year of experience within the last three years as a Registered Nurse caring for the elderly or chronically ill of any age, or both
Current RN Washington State licensure to practice professional nursing.
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or related field.
3 years of RN experience in an acute care setting.
BLS, ACLS and/or PALS certification or teaching credentials.
