Providence is calling a Electrocardiograph Technician (Cardiology Services, Variable, 0.6 FTE, 24 hours per week) to Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane, Washington. In this position you will:
Customer Service: Maintain and promote positive, open and honest interpersonal relationships with customers (physicians, employees, visitors, patients, and other PSHMC publics). Provide high quality service to all customers; focus on understanding customers’ needs and follows through

Perform the following procedures utilizing proper electrode placement considering the age and culture of the patient:
Selected lead rhythm strips
Correctly identify type of exam, reading physician and time for exam
Verify correct patient by checking wristband prior to beginning procedure
Explain to the patient the procedure to be performed
Maintain patient dignity and privacy when exposing the chest for electrode placement
Adapt recording speed, electrode size and placement to meet individual needs of neonates (0-1 month) infants (1 month to age 1) toddlers (1-2 years), preschoolers (3-5 years), school age (6-12 years) of adolescents (ages 13-17) and adult patients including early adult (ages 18-35) middle adult (ages 36-65) and older adult (ages 66 )patients considering patient’s age, size, pre-existing conditions and procedures to be performed
Work with speed and accuracy in stressful situations
Respond to Code 55/ Stat requests within 5 minutes or phones ordering unit and gives ETA to perform the exam
Complete necessary logging, billing and editing of ECGs
Maintain cart with proper supplies
Accurately maintain records and performs computer billing/editing of records
Position patients in a manner which is safe, utilizing the appropriate safe patient handling equipment and technique, allowing patients to be comfortable both physically and emotionally
May transport patients to and from departments utilizing proper techniques of body mechanics to protect patients and personal safety
Required qualifications for this position include:
High School diploma or equivalent
Acceptable references from former employer(s)
