Providence Health & Services Hospital Operator Supervisor *1.0 FTE, Day Shift* in Spokane, Washington

Providence is calling a Hospital Operator Supervisor (Communications, Days, 1.0 FTE, 40 hours per week) to Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane, Washington. In this position you will:

  • Customer Service: Maintain and promote positive, open and honest interpersonal relationships with customers (physicians, employees, visitors, patients, and other SHMC publics). Provides high quality service to all customers; focuses on understanding customers’ needs and follows through. Demonstrates respect for the capabilities, different cultures and or personalities of co-workers and Medical Center publics within the mission/values of SHMC.

  • PBX:

  • Effectively uses all Medical Center phone systems.

  • Troubleshoot telephone problems and refers to appropriate technicians.

  • Ensure that adequately functioning pagers are available.

  • Maintain hospital pager control to include ordering, receiving, inventory, maintenance and billing.

  • Work with other departments to establish effective communications and emergency systems.

  • Stay current in communications technology.

  • Maintain accurate information databases needed by communications staff.

  • Order and maintain inventory of long range pagers.

  • Set staff schedules according to appropriate UFCW guidelines.

  • Review all bills received for accuracy and code to appropriate cost center.

  • Manage the QA medical record review function and insures that staff meet their productivity targets.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Previous Supervisory experience.

  • Computer experience: Word processing.

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Health care facility experience.

  • Computer experience: Database.
