Providence Health & Services Maintenance Rotating Engineer in Spokane, Washington
Providence is calling a Maintenance Rotating Engineer ( Plant Operations , Variable Shift, 1.0 FTE) to Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane, Washington. In this position you will:
Operate all shop and mechanical equipment in a proper manner, to ensure a safe environment for themselves and fellow employees.
Maintain, repair, and overhaul all equipment under the jurisdiction of the Facilities Department to help ensure their safe and reliable operation.
Troubleshoot electrical problems as required utilizing appropriate test equipment to help ensure a safe environment for the Medical Center.
Inspect and install mechanical equipment as needed to ensure their safe, reliable, and economical operation.
Install and replace steam, condensate, water, air, pneumatic tube, and sewer piping as required for the safe and functional operation of equipment.
Operate and monitor Johnson Control Building Automation System (BAS) ensuring proper environmental conditions for the Medical Center and outlying buildings.
Perform all scheduled Periodic Maintenance within prescribed time limits ensuring proper performance of equipment.
Continually leave work areas in a neat, orderly condition, ensuring a safe, clean environment for patients, staff and visitors at all times.
Work closely and effectively with all departments to help ensure a safe, clean environment.
Perform in an accurate and precise manner in crisis and emergency situations when time is critical.
Perform all errands as assigned within prescribed time limits and carries out STAT orders immediately.
Maintain reference material on a continuing basis.
Responsible for all work as assigned.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Must obtain a Second Class Boiler Operator License within 2.5 years of employment and must obtain a First Class Boiler Operator License within a time frame established by management.
Valid driver's license.
Minimum four (4) years of facilities maintenance experience.
Must have computer skills.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
One of the following licenses, certifications, or degrees:
Journeyman Electricians License
Certified Fire Alarm Technician
Backflow Prevention Specialist
Refrigeration Recovery License
Building Automation Systems (BAS)
High school graduate or GED.
Associate's Degree in Electronics.
