Providence Health & Services Manager - Clinical Nutrition in Spokane, Washington

Providence is calling a Manager of Clinical Nutrition (Clinical Nutrition, Day Shift, 1.0 FTE) to Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane, Washington. The Manager is accountable for the overall management, leadership and direction of the clinical and operational activities of Clinical Nutrition in accordance with Providence's mission, values and vision to include creating an environment that fosters a multidisciplinary team and collaborative approach of care that achieves operational and clinical best practice.

The Manager collaborates with other providers and departments, manages staff schedules, educational needs, evaluations and any disciplinary concerns. This position is directly involved with the hiring and terminating of individuals, defining job descriptions and processing policy and procedure according to Providence's standards.

In this position you will:

  • Develop nutritional care standards and assign responsibility and accountability to members of the clinical and office staff.

  • Assist in maintaining a logical system of planning to accomplish short term and long term objectives.

  • Maintain a system of assessing and regulating activities and results.

  • Manager the Clinical Nutrition area in compliance with established policies, procedures, JHACO, and other regulations.

  • Manage budget

  • Serve as a department representative on hospital committees, appointed task forces and service line committees.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Current Registered Dietitian with the American Dietetic Association

  • 5 years experience in hospital dietetics as a full time registered clinical dietitian

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Master of Science Degree in nutrition or related field

  • Active member of Washington State Dietetic Association and the Greater Spokane Dietetic Association
