Manager Nursing

The Nursing Manager provides management of a nursing unit, including development and implementation of a Primary Care Service model that integrates the concepts of choice, privacy, dignity, individuality and home-like environment. Directs and assists with patient care. Maintains budgets, staffing levels, and quality management programs. Provides supervision to nursing assistants and licensed staff.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications:

  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Washington

  • Current CPR certification or must obtain within 30 days of hire

Preferred qualifications:

  • Minimum of one (1) year LTC geriatric experience

  • Two (2) years experience as a staff nurse

  • One (1) year as a charge nurse with LTC experience

  • Experience with an interdisciplinary team desired

  • Supervisory experience with nursing assistants strongly desired

Providence St. Joseph Care Center in Spokane, Washington is located on the campus of Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center & Children's Hospital. Our Transitional Care Unit is designed for patients coming out of the hospital who need skilled nursing care, end of life care, or rehabilitation for those recovering from surgery or who have a functional loss from illness, disease, or an accident. Our Long Term Care unit provides skilled nursing in a residential setting, addressing the needs of our residents through creating a sense of community and home and providing a model of care that is resident-centered.
