Providence Occupational Therapist in Spokane, Washington
Providence is calling an Occupational Therapist (Occupational Therapy, Days, 0.0) to Providence St. Joseph Care Center in Spokane, Washington. In this position you will:
Evaluate assigned patients, develops and implements a treatment and discharge plan based on results and modifies it as necessary to meet resident/patient goals taking into consideration the age related needs of the patient.
Provide documentation of patient services according to departmental policies.
Assume case management and patient advocacy roles as needed.
Continually upgrade clinical skill level.
Participate in program development inservices and staff meetings as requested unless excused by supervisor.
Adhere to facility and departmental safety policies and procedures.
Supervise therapy students according to professional and department guidelines.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy
Meet all clinical affiliation requirements and passing national exam
Current Occupational Therapy (OT) licensure or certification in Washington State
CPR certification or within ninety (90) days of the date of hire the employee is responsible for attending a Providence St Joseph Care Center Skills Review class if they do not have a current CPR card upon hire
Preferred qualification for this position include:
- 1 year of experience in rehab or acute setting (Will consider new grads with relevant intern experience)

Providence St. Joseph Care Center in Spokane, Washington is located on the campus of Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center & Children's Hospital. Our Transitional Care Unit is designed for patients coming out of the hospital who need skilled nursing care, end of life care, or rehabilitation for those recovering from surgery or who have a functional loss from illness, disease, or an accident. Our Long Term Care unit provides skilled nursing in a residential setting, addressing the needs of our residents through creating a sense of community and home and providing a model of care that is resident-centered.
