Providence Health & Services Occupational Therapist in Spokane, Washington
Providence is calling an Occupational Therapist (Occupational Therapy Dept, Day Shift, On-call/supplemental) to Providence St. Joseph Care Center in Spokane, Washington. We are a community of caregivers delivering every day on our Mission to provide compassionate care that is accessible for all – especially those who are poor and vulnerable.
In this position you will:
Develop and implement treatment and discharge plans based on results, modifying as necessary to meet resident/patient goals.
Provide documentation of patient services according to departmental policies.
Assume case management and patient advocacy roles as needed.
Develops and maintains positive relationships with residents, patients, families, physicians, and staff.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy, as well as meeting all clinical affiliation requirements and passing national exam
Current Occupational Therapy (OT) licensure or certification in Washington State
Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or obtain within 90 days of employment
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- 1 year of experience in rehab or acute setting OR relevant intern experience

Providence St. Joseph Care Center in Spokane, Washington is located on the campus of Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center & Children's Hospital. Our Transitional Care Unit is designed for patients coming out of the hospital who need skilled nursing care, end of life care, or rehabilitation for those recovering from surgery or who have a functional loss from illness, disease, or an accident. Our Long Term Care unit provides skilled nursing in a residential setting, addressing the needs of our residents through creating a sense of community and home and providing a model of care that is resident-centered.
