Providence Patient Services Representative in Spokane, Washington
Providence is calling a Patient Services Representative (Northwest Heart and Lung Surgical Associates, Days, 1.0 FTE, 40 hours per week) to Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane, Washington. In this position you will:
Greet patients when they enter the clinic.
Accurately register patients for appointments, obtaining required documentation. Ensure current HIPAA acknowledgment and Consent to Treat have been obtained and scanned. Verify insurance eligibility.
Collect payments on accounts and co-pays, documenting payments in the Epic system. Responsible for daily reconciliation of cash box and deposits.
Maintain the cleanliness of the waiting room.
Update patients on any delays.
Arrange for transportation as needed for patients.
Receive, sort, and distribute mail. Manage outgoing mail.
Scanning and indexing of patient information into EMR.
Always use AIDET Protocol when dealing with patients and the family and friends of patients.
Answer multi-line phone system as per clinic standards. Document in Epic as per clinic expectations. Ensure follow up as appropriate.
Required qualifications for this position include:
H.S. Diploma or GED in General.
Customer service experience.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Medical Office experience.
