Providence Health & Services Pharmacy Technician in Spokane, Washington
Providence is calling a Pharmacy Technician Specialist ( Pharmacy Dept, Day Shift, 0.0 FTE) to Providence Holy Family Hospital in Spokane, Washington. In this position you will:
Provide technical assistance with collecting, clarifying and documenting complete and accurate medication histories under the direction of Clinical Pharmacist
Clarifies medication information through interview with the patient, family, care givers, pharmacies, previous medical records and medical providers as necessary
Contact select patients by phone to confirm whether treatment goals are being met and reinforce key self-management instructions and medication adherence under the instruction and supervision of the Clinical Pharmacist
Maintain confidentiality of all patient and hospital related information
Demonstrate working knowledge of the Hospital Information System and Pharmacy components
Utilize computer based communication
Comply with all regulatory agency requirements including State Board of Pharmacy and Department of Health and Services
Assists in orientation of new pharmacy technicians
Required qualifications for this position include:
High school Diploma or GED
Current WA State Pharmacy Tech (Level A) Certification or WA State Pharmacy Intern License
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- 1 year sufficient experience to enable the employee to work effectively in commonplace work situations and to provide working knowledge of the principles, practices, standards, methods, and techniques of the pharmaceutical field; usually interpreted as one year of applicable experience.
