Providence Health & Services Practice Manager I - Indian Trail Family Medicine and Pediatrics in Spokane, Washington


Providence is calling a Practice Manager I (Indian Trail Family Medicine , Day Shift, Full Time) to Providence Medical Group in Spokane, Washington. In this position you will:

  • Manage day to day clinic/department operations to ensure smooth operations, quickly resolves operational issues/problems as they are identified

  • Ensure effective patient care management that promotes high patient satisfaction. Provides input into the development and implementation of new clinic programs to increase and maintain patient volume and satisfaction

  • Make regular staff rounds using the Studer model

  • Handle daily staffing needs of assigned clinics

  • Responsible for staff recruitment working in collaboration with Talent Acquisition and Human Resources

  • Coordinate the training and orientation of new provider and staff members; assess new staff members strengths and growth opportunities

  • Provide timely employee evaluations; also provide timely employee coaching, mentoring and disciplinary action as necessary. All disciplinary action will be performed per PMG’s disciplinary process and policies

  • Ensure approval of employee time cards

  • Listen to and resolves patient complaints

  • Attend and participate at PMG Management meetings or other meetings as requested

  • Lead at least monthly staff meetings and ensure distribution of follow-up meeting minutes of the discussion

  • Act as a liaison between PMG leadership and clinic providers and staff by proactively communicating with all parties

  • Maintain a safe environment for patients, staff and visitors

  • Facilitate/Lead clinic Lean improvement activities to ensure the development and implementation of processes that support quality patient care and effective work performance

  • Report to and works effectively/cooperatively with their assigned Director; keeps Director informed of current management/operational issues. Take direction from their assigned Director

  • Develop annual clinic/department budget. Work to achieve clinic/department financial budget goals. Prepare month-end report for Director which will include a variance analysis

  • Support and adhere to established PMG policies, procedures and protocols

  • Model professional behavior, good work attendance and appearance expectations

  • Ensure all staff and providers are in compliance with applicable licensure, training and accreditation standards. Also ensures that all staff and providers are in compliance with current Federal and State regulations concerning, OIG, CMS, HIPPA, WISHA, HITECH, etc.

  • Work with Revenue Cycle Management to ensure the accurate and timely billing of charges

  • Adhere to established company compliance, policies, procedures and protocols. Develop and revise policies and procedures


Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Associate’s Degree or 3 years of actual supervisory experience

  • 3 years of management experience

  • 1 year of actual supervisory experience

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • EMR experience.
