The Interventional Radiology Technologist performs radiographic procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision. S/he is expected to demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of radiologic principles while utilizing the department protocol manual. The Interventional Radiology Technologist performs a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment with ingenuity and initiative to apply ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis. S/he assumes responsibility for assigned areas and/or procedures as requested. Assists Interventional Radiology physicians as scrub techs as assigned.
