Providence Health & Services RN- Care Coordinator, Oncology in Spokane, Washington
Providence is calling a Program Coordinator – Cancer Patient Care (Full time day shift, Mon-Fri, 7 am - 4 pm) to Providence Sacred Heart/Holy Family Hospitals in Spokane, Washington. This RN will work 4 days per week out of our Sacred Heart Medical Center facility, and 1 day per week out of our Holy Family Hospital facility. You will work closely with our cancer patients to help coordinate their cancer care plans and act as a liason between our inpatient and outpatient groups. We are a community of caregivers delivering every day on our Mission to provide compassionate care that is accessible for all – especially those who are poor and vulnerable.
In this position you will be:
Responsible for individual patient/family assessment, referral to services and follow-up.
The hub of multiple lines of communication between the patient, referring physician and support services providers.
The liaison, communicator, educator and supporter.
Utilizing age related concepts when communicating with patients and families, administering medications, using medical equipment, participating in diagnostic or other procedures and when teaching patients/families.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Washington
Clinical licensure to perform activities outlined in this description
1-5 years applicable clinical experience or equivalent education and experience in at least one of the following areas:
Cancer Rehabilitation Services
Clinical Cancer Services
Discharge Planning/Social Services
Home Health Consultant
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- Bachelor’s of Science degree in Nursing (BSN) degree
