Providence Senior Project Manager in Clinical Effectiveness in Spokane, Washington
Providence is calling a Senior Project Manager in Clinical Effectiveness (Clinical Effectiveness, Days, 1.0 FTE, Salaried Position) to Providence Health Care Region in Spokane, Washington. The Clinical Effectiveness department works with organizations within Providence Health Care (PHC) to assist in identifying innovative ways to further serve our patients, caregivers, core leaders and providers in a consistent manner. The Clinical Effectiveness department leads and/or facilitates the transformational processes of reducing costs, and improving quality in our continual goal of improving the total cost of healthcare.
The Clinical Effectiveness department reflects the key moral commitment, ethical principles, values and philosophy of PHC. Serving as a central resource for PHC Administration, Physicians, Core Leaders and Caregivers regarding processes, and champions the efforts at all levels without taking on responsibilities for managing their assigned work processes.
The Senior Project Manager position reports to the Director of Clinical Effectiveness, and will provide strategic project management, analysis and strategic decision-making support for PHC. This position will establish and maintain effective working relationships with management and staff at all levels. This position will provide project management to the PHC service area, composed of providers, clinical and administrative subject matter experts focusing on improving clinical quality, patient experience, and decreasing the total cost of care. Including, clinical excellence, clinical standardization, patient safety, comparative effectiveness and clinical advancement.
This position promotes cost effectiveness and operational efficiency by providing leadership, facilitation, project management, and communications that align with the Clinical Effectiveness program strategy across the continuum of services offered throughout Providence Health Care.
In this position you will:
Manage various projects and programs with increased complexity, strategic priority and multiple clinical performance teams simultaneously, while achieving specified objectives on time.
Work closely with providers, dyad leaders, administration, and core leaders to define priorities, and manage progress of improvement teams.
Facilitate project management governance from the business-decision stage to final implementation and outcome gathering. All project plans must address the triple aim (patient experience, clinical quality and cost), and align with regional and system strategic priorities.
Manage, integrate and maintain effective relationships key stakeholders across multiple locations by acting as a key liaison and facilitating cross-functional communications.
Identify, gather and analyze appropriate performance metrics, research and information necessary to accomplish project goals.
Deploy effective process improvement and change management strategies.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent educ/experience
Three (3) years experience in project management, healthcare administration, or clinical field.
Three (3) years proven track record in managing multiple complex high profile projects simultaneously and driving towards successful results.
Experience with Project Management methodology based on Project Management principles.
Experience incorporating Lean process improvement methodologies into large scale projects.
Experience facilitating complex decision making amongst multiple executive stakeholders with different interests and priorities.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Master's Degree in Related field.
Certification in process optimization such as Lean Six Sigma, CQIA, or other nationally recognized certification.
Two (2) years health care experience in an operational area.
Consulting background in high production, deadline-oriented professional work environment requiring multi-tasking, flexibility and self-directed work.
Substantial clinical and leadership experience in clinical setting.
